In this week’s book discussion we are in Chapter 34 of 171 Answers (8:20): We are in Chapter 34 of 171 Answers Mark and Anika are talking about C students and their college options.

One of the myths out there is that there are very few options for the C student. Mark and Anika have a robust discussion about the wide range of opportunities that C students have to find a great college match. (Length 10:55)

This week’s question (19:15) is from Alex, a student from Manhattan who wants to know if there is an advantage to applying through Early Action or Early Decision.

Mark interviews Mike Runiewisz, Director of Financial Aid at Washington University in St. Louis (32:36) and they are talking about 16 common mistakes that are made on the FAFSA application.

This is the first of a two part interview and in this episode Mike and Mark discuss the first nine of these common mistakes students make on the FAFSA. In preparation for this interview, Mike asked all of the financial aid officers at Wash U what are the most common mistakes they experience in their own caseload. (Length 22:07)
