A Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) survey of people born between 1957 and 1964 from ages 18 to 24 shows they changed jobs an average of 5.7 times. The rate of job changes decreased as the respondents aged. While the job changes may not reflect career changes, it’s safe to say that, on average, you’ll have multiple jobs, if not careers, over your lifetime.
